Sahl Hasheesh: Glass Boat & Parasailing with Snorkeling

You didn't come all the way to the Red Sea to watch it from a sunbed. This morning you'll meet it twice — once from forty metres up, once from below the waterline — on a single easy trip that starts at the door of your Sahl Hasheesh hotel.

Out on the water, the speedboat opens up, the parachute fills, and the deck drops away beneath your feet. For ten to fifteen minutes there is nothing but wind and the sea unrolling below you in bands of turquoise and deep blue — solo, or side by side with someone you love. Then you trade the sky for the depths: aboard the semi-submarine you sink below the surface behind wide panoramic windows while reef walls, coral gardens and shoals of bright fish drift past close enough to touch. A mask and forty minutes in the warm shallows finish the immersion.

Most visitors know the Red Sea as a colour seen from the beach. You'll know it from the inside — weightless above it and eye to eye with it in the same three hours. It's the kind of morning you tell in full sentences for weeks afterward, not the kind you sum up as "the water was nice."

None of it asks for experience or nerve you don't already have. Your captain and crew are certified in CPR and advanced first aid, every parachute and harness is inspected before it flies, and your only job is to say yes. You'll step back onto the sand a little sun-salted and a little braver — already working out who you'll bring back to fly next time.
