Five hammam rituals, from the plain Turkish bath to a two-and-a-half-hour chocolate or double-hammam programme. Steam, a natural-glove scrub, sauna, herbal steam room and jacuzzi, finished with a full-body massage.
Best value
Sixty or ninety minutes on the table, with eight styles to choose from when you arrive at no extra cost. You set the pressure. The 90-minute version is a full hour and a half of massage, not an hour with facilities attached.

A VIP suite kept for the two of you for two hours, with its own sauna, jacuzzi and steam bath. Scrub, mask and a massage each, side by side in the same room. Priced per person, minimum two.

If you have never had one
A hammam is a bathing ritual, not a massage with a different name. You are not scrubbing yourself and there is no swimming involved. The whole thing is done to you, in sequence, on and around a heated marble slab, and it takes about two hours from the first heat to the last cup of tea.
The heat comes first and does most of the work. By the time the scrub starts, your skin has softened enough that the glove lifts away a surprising amount — this is the part first-timers remember, and it is completely normal to be slightly appalled by how much comes off.
It is the plain original and the cheapest of the five. The coconut, coffee and chocolate versions change what goes on your skin, not what happens to you.
The difference between them
The sequence is the same in all five. What changes is the scrub material, how coarse it is, and how long you stay.
The plain original and the entry point. Glove scrub, a full-body milk mask and a foam wash, then the massage. Pick this one if you want the classic and nothing added.
Coconut in place of milk, exfoliated with natural coconut soap. Adds a face mask the Turkish version does not include. The scent stays on your skin all day.
Coffee is the coarsest of the scrubs, so this is the one to choose if your skin wants a firm hand. Coffee soap, then a scrub massage and an oriental face mask.
The only programme that puts you through two hammams back to back: 75 minutes of bathing, then 75 minutes of massage instead of the usual hour.

Why people book one mid-holiday
Nothing here is a medical claim, and nobody at the spa will make one either. This is what the sequence is for, and why it tends to land best around day four or five of a Red Sea holiday rather than on your last morning.
The steam room comes first for a reason: warmth is what softens skin and loosens muscle before anyone touches you. It is why a hammam runs two hours and a massage runs one — you are paying for the part before the scrub.
A week of sea and desert leaves a layer you cannot get off in a hotel shower. The glove scrub is the whole point of the ritual, and first-timers are routinely startled by how much lifts away.
Boat trips, quad bikes, airline seats and a strange mattress all land in the same place. Say so on arrival and pick power sport or medical — the therapist works one area properly instead of covering everything lightly.
Heat, then an hour face-down in a quiet room, tends to end the day rather than restart it. Book an afternoon slot, not a morning one, and do not plan anything tight afterwards.

Chosen on arrival, at no extra cost
Book the 60- or 90-minute full-body massage and you choose the style when you get there, not when you book. Say what your body has been doing all week and the therapist will steer you.
The 90-minute version is a full hour and a half on the table — long enough to work through the back properly and still reach legs, arms and neck. Add hot stones for €5, or a 30-minute foot massage.
No surprises
Same-gender therapists on every treatment and every programme. It is fixed house policy, not something you have to ask for, and it applies inside the private suites too.
You will want it for the hammam, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Robe, slippers, towels and toiletries are laid out for you. Booked a massage only? No swimwear needed.
Guests must be at least 12 years old and anyone under 18 has to be accompanied by an adult. Infants and younger children cannot be treated.

Pickup is timed so you arrive with a few minutes to change. Herbal tea in the relaxation lounge afterwards is part of it — do not plan anything tight straight after.

No. Women are treated by female therapists and men by male therapists, on every treatment and every programme. This is fixed house policy at Soul Spa, not a preference you need to request. Staff are also careful with modesty and draping throughout.
Bring swimwear — you will want it for the hammam, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. A robe, slippers, towels and toiletries are provided. If you have booked a massage only, no swimwear is needed, because that treatment does not use the wet areas.

Yes, and it costs nothing extra. You choose on arrival from aroma, anti-stress, power sport, lymphatic, classic full body, shiatsu, medical, or diver VIP, which concentrates on shoulders and legs. Shiatsu is worked without oil. You set the pressure yourself.
