Sharm El Sheikh: Sunset Buggy Safari, Camel Ride & Bedouin BBQ
Open the throttle as the Sinai turns gold — then let the desert quiet settle over mint tea and firelight.
Overview
You came to Sharm for the sea — but the desert behind it has been waiting for you. In the late afternoon an air-conditioned van collects you from your hotel and carries you past the last of the resort strip, until the buildings fall away and there is nothing ahead but open Sinai and a buggy with your name on it.
A quick briefing, helmet on, and the throttle is yours. The first push of sand under the tyres, the growl of the engine, the wheel alive in your hands — and the world narrows to the line of dunes in front of you. You climb, you carve, you kick up a tail of gold, and somewhere in the rhythm of it you stop thinking about anything at all. About half an hour out the Echo Mountains rise, and here your own voice comes back to you off the rock, older and stranger than you sent it.
Then the pace changes, and that is the point. At a real Bedouin camp the engines fall silent and you are handed sweet mint tea in a tent that has sheltered desert travellers for generations. A camel carries you out to meet the sunset — slow, swaying, unhurried — while the sky burns down over the dunes. This is the desert the speed cannot show you: vast, quiet, and completely indifferent to the clock you left back at the hotel.
As the light fails, the camp comes alive. A BBQ dinner of Egyptian dishes cooked over open flame, the spin of a Tanoura dancer, fire arcing against the dark. You will drive back to Sharm with sand still in your hair and a sky's worth of stars behind you, carrying the particular calm of someone who spent an evening a long way from anywhere ordinary.

Perfect desert adventure! The buggy safari was exhilarating and the sunset views were breathtaking. Camel ride was peaceful and the BBQ feast was excellent. Great value!
Sunset looked amazing through the mountains on the safari. AVOID THE TOILETS AT ALL COST. The camel ride lasted about 30 seconds and it was just a money scandal for them rather than allowing us to enjoy the experience. They asked for my phone to take pictures of us, at first I thought this was sweet until they begged for money and didn’t let us continue til we did. Food was lovely, my partner went for seconds and all the dances (especially the fire show) was very impressive.
I always recommend it was every nice day and so much funny with family or friends it was really enjoyable please try with them you won’t regret.
We had a wonderful day through the desert. The guides were lovely and very helpful. The dinner and show at the end was perfect. Highly recommend 😊
Went with my husband and two kids, we had a 4 person buggy. Really professional, great vehicles, fun show, excellent food. 10/10, highly recommend!
