Ras Mohammed National Park & Magic Lake Day Tour
Where the Sinai desert runs out and drops into the reef, you wade in from the shore and the surface world goes quiet.
Overview
You came to Sharm for the sea — but the best water isn't off your hotel beach. It's an hour south, at the very tip of the Sinai, where the desert runs out of land and drops straight into one of the richest reefs on Earth. Today is the day you go and find it.
At Ras Mohammed you wade in from the shore and the surface world simply falls away. The reef drops beneath you in walls of coral, and clouds of fish — yellow, silver, electric blue — drift past close enough to touch. Later you float in the Magic Lake, a warm desert lagoon ringed by mountains and dune, so buoyant you barely have to swim. In between comes a slow roll through the salt-drinking mangroves and a pause at Allah Gate, where the park's name is spelled out in pale stone at its original threshold.
This is Egypt's first national park, protected since 1983 because water this clear and reefs this alive have become rare — and are getting rarer. Standing on the cliff at the end of the day, the Gulf of Aqaba on one side and the Gulf of Suez on the other, an earthquake crack thousands of years old split into the rock beneath your feet, you feel just how old and how fragile this corner of the planet is. Few places let you swim through something this wild and this protected in a single afternoon.
Pick-up, the air-conditioned drive, park entry and your guide are all handled — you bring a towel and swimwear, nothing more. What you carry home is the quiet of being underwater, the weightless float in the lake, and a stretch of coast most visitors never realise is there.

Úžasný výlet! Národní park Ras Mohamed nabízí nádherné šnorchlování u korálových zahrad a pestrou mořskou faunu.
