The start of your journey will be visiting Sakkara, which is located 27 kilometers away from Cairo. The vast necropolis is home to eleven pyramids in total - the burial places of the Old Kingdom Pharaohs - amongst which several are magnificent examples of ancient art and architecture.
The Step Pyramid, created for King Zoser, is the most significant part of this section.
Next step to the Giza Plateau to see the oldest of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Get breathtaking views of the Pyramids of Giza as you explore the Khufu (and sometimes called Cheops, or the Great Pyramid), Khafre, and Menkaure.
Learn the story of how the temples were constructed and hear the stories behind their legends.
Continue to the Great Sphinx, the giant statue of a reclining mythical beast with a lion’s body and the face of the Pharaoh Khafre. Go to the Valley Temple opposite, attributed to the Pharaoh Khafre, and marvel at the feat of ancient engineering.
Next, take a 30-minute break for lunch at a local restaurant. Then, proceed to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. An important archaeological site and a fascinating place to visit.
Next stop - Khan Al-Khalili, Vibrant open-air bazaar is a treasure trove of Egyptian culture, with bustling streets filled with local artisans and vendors. Here, you can pick up unique souvenirs like spices and perfumes, or simply soak up the local atmosphere. Learn more about the bazaar's rich history, and walk around to discover fascinating stories and insights from a knowledgeable guide.

Une superbe journée 🤩 Organisation au top. Le programme a été tenu avec deux supers drivers : Mahmoud et Ahmed, une super guide : Gogo Une sortie en dehors des sentiers touristiques avec saqqarra, Memphis et khan el Khalili. Le plateau de Gizeh évidemment avec une guide et des chauffeurs toujours aux petits soins pour ce trip privée. Une guide égyptologue parlant très bien le français et toujours avide d’explications ! Boissons toujours fraîches en mini van. Bref à recommander !
Gogo, unsere Reiseleiterin, hat den Ausflug perfekt auf unsere Wünsche angepasst. Wir waren zu viert als Familie unterwegs und sie war super flexibel, wie lange wir bei einem Besichtigungspunkt oder beim Essen bleiben wollten. Toll am Ausflug waren v.a. die Pyramiden und der Khan-el-Khalili Markt. Und dass wir viel von Kairo vom Auto aus gesehen haben. Die An- und Abreise von/nach Hurghada dauert ca 6 Stunden. Da man im Minibus zu viert genug Platz hat, ist es ok. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!
