Hurghada: Luxor Day Trip with Hatshepsut and Tutankhamun Tombs
End your day where the world held its breath - at the sealed tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamun.
Overview
Cross the Eastern Desert at dawn and trade the Red Sea coast for the world's greatest open-air museum. This full day from Hurghada takes you straight to the heart of ancient Thebes - Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and the golden tomb of Tutankhamun himself.
Travel by air-conditioned minivan with an expert Egyptologist guide. Walk the towering Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak Temple, pause for lunch at a local Luxor restaurant, then cross to the West Bank where Egypt's pharaohs were laid to rest. Stand before the cliff-carved Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the giant Colossi of Memnon.
The day builds to its highlight: KV62, the Tomb of Tutankhamun. Step into the burial chamber that lay sealed for over 3,000 years until its discovery stunned the world, and see the boy-king's resting place where his treasures were found untouched.
Hotel pickup and drop-off, fast-track entry tickets, lunch and your Egyptologist guide are all part of the price - Tutankhamun's tomb included, not an extra. Free cancellation and reserve-now-pay-later keep your plans easy. You'll drive back to the Red Sea coast having stood where a boy-king was laid to rest three thousand years ago.

We have been to Luxor late July, being picked up from Hurghada. the pickup is very professional, with them staying up to date of your pick up time, an air conditioned minivan and some soft drinks and snacks in the car (enough for someone who normally skips breakfast to feel good until lunch at 2:30pm). If you normally have breakfast, bring some additional food. The guide, Sherif, is so knowledgeable, kind, humble and funny. even with 42 celcius heat this man was so enthusiastic! We drove to 3 different areas, including the valley of the Kings, and Hatshepsut's tomb, which is a must to see when you are in Egypt! We finished the day with a buffet lunch in a local restaurant, and then drove the 4.5 hours back. Very very VERY worth it!
5 star for everything Very informative pickup times and information a day before the trip On time pick up in the morning from the hotel We received a coke and water from the driver when we got on to the minivan. Very informative guide Mr Mohamed Baraka around Karnak Temple, Valley of the kings, nile boat and hatshepsut temple Food was included buffet service drinks were chargeable - 100 egyptian pound / £1.62 Gave water to the whole group during the trip. I definitely recommend for anyone on holiday in Egypt. Transfer / food all included in the price. Be careful of the locals around the attractions as they will ask to take picture or take you to closed off areas. Great day.
Trip was very well organised and although it was a long transfer the guide always kept us informed and made the trip as interesting as possible.
