2-Day Cairo & Giza Pyramids Tour from Hurghada
Stand where history began — the last wonder of the ancient world, still keeping its 4,500-year watch.
Overview
You came to the Red Sea for the water — but there's a reason your eye keeps drifting west, past the coast, to where the map turns to desert and the oldest story on Earth is still being told. For two days you answer that pull, trading the beach for Cairo and a holiday for something you'll be telling people about for the rest of your life.
It begins in the dark. While Hurghada sleeps, your air-conditioned van slips out across the desert, and by mid-morning the noise and colour of Cairo close in around you. Inside the Egyptian Museum you stand an arm's length from the gold that once covered a pharaoh's face, while your guide fills the space between the glass cases with the names and intrigues behind them. You break for a traditional Egyptian lunch, lose an hour in the lantern-lit lanes of Khan el-Khalili — the greatest bazaar in the Arab world — and let the cool marble of the Alabaster Mosque quiet you before your Cairo hotel.
The next morning belongs to Giza. Nothing prepares you for the scale — not the photographs, not the films. The Great Pyramid was already ancient when Rome was founded, the last of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world still standing, and for three unhurried hours it is simply there in front of you — and so are you. The Sphinx keeps the same watch it has kept for 4,500 years. You realise you are not looking at history from the outside. You are standing inside it.
By the time the desert road carries you back to the coast, something has shifted. The sea will still be there tomorrow — but you return to it as someone who has stood at the foot of the Pyramids and felt, for a moment, just how vast and how brief the human story really is. Your hotel pick-up, a 4- or 5-star night in Cairo, breakfast, lunch on both days and your guide are all taken care of; you carry home only the memory — and it's the one everyone asks about.

In general, the trip was good. The pyramids, museum and all of the sights speak for themselves - amazing. Our guide Ahmed was very knowledgable and very friendly. However, we booked a 2 day tour (at a much more expensive price) so we wouldn’t be rushed. They added us to a group tour that was only for 1 day, so the museum was rushed (we had 1hr 30 mins) and we only got to see the ‘main parts’, missing about 50% of the museum. We were meant to see the pyramids the next morning but instead they added it to the end of the one day tour. The second day, we only had 1 attraction to see, and we felt that the tour was trying to drag our day out. We visited the same restaurant twice which was average. I would recommend this tour, however I think some tweaks need to be made to ensure the money you pay is worth it, the two day tour is not reflextive of the itinerary as it’s described.
It was amazing -Mahmoud Rashwan was an amazing guide, it was all about amazing experiences, especially the camel ride and going into pyramids which Mahmoud highly recommended. We traveled from Makadi the whole night , but weren’t tired at all, even though the day was packed with activities.
