Yes. Intro dives need no certification: after a briefing and shallow practice, you dive one-to-one with an instructor to around 5-8 meters. Several boat trips to Ras Mohammed and Tiran offer optional intro dives alongside snorkeling, so you can try diving as part of a normal sea day.

Diving is excellent all year. Water ranges from 22°C in winter to 28°C in summer. June to September brings glassy seas and pelagic action at Tiran; winter offers fewer crowds and superb visibility. March-May and September-November hit the sweet spot of warm water and quiet sites.
Expect dense soft-coral walls, turtles, Napoleon wrasse, schools of barracuda and jackfish, blue-spotted rays, moray eels and clouds of anthias. At Ras Mohammed in summer, huge schools of snapper and batfish gather to spawn — one of diving's great spectacles. Reef sharks patrol the Tiran reefs at dawn.
The famous Blue Hole is at Dahab, about 90 minutes north of Sharm El Sheikh. Day trips combine snorkeling or diving at the Blue Hole rim with Dahab town and optional camel or jeep desert legs. Recreational divers stay along the spectacular outer reef wall — only technical divers enter the arch.
Yes, the national park charges an entry fee, but on our organized boat and jeep trips the permit handling is included in the tour price and arranged for you. Bring your passport on the day — it is required at the park gate and for the Tiran boat area.
Absolutely. Dive boats in Sharm carry snorkelers on the same reefs — partners and kids snorkel above while you dive below, and everyone shares lunch on board. Glass-bottom boat and semi-submarine options exist for those who prefer to stay completely dry.
